It’s always hard when we get to a new city to figure out what to do. Especially in a place where there are so many things to do and such a short amount of time to spend. We try to reach out to friends to get suggestions on the top places to see to help guide us through each place and get the most out of it. I feel like we could have spent so much time in Colorado Springs and the surrounding areas checking out all the amazing things, but we only have another day here. So we listened to our friends and hit up the Garden of the Gods. It definitely was beautiful. We were a little overwhelmed with all of the people there (I guess it was still spring break for the kids in school!). Although we did find some secluded and quiet amidst all the noise.
We love rocks and rock formations and this place definitely did not disappoint. We loved the contrast of the giant red rocks and the greens that surrounded it. And we also loved looking at Pike’s Peak from a distance. It was a wonderful day and we decided to hit up downtown Colorado Springs for the evening. We walked all around the down town and ate at one the places our friends recommended. Tomorrow we are off to Denver to catch up with some old friends and do some more exploring.
