Renovation Day 7

Odessa Renovation Day 7: It’s been a weekend of painting and reworking our color scheme but I think we finally got it now. We pretty much finished up the bathroom and everything is coming along perfectly!

We took a little time off renovating this weekend because Jordan ended up getting that nasty flu bug that has been going around. I haven’t seen him this sick in a LONG time. It’s weird for us because we haven’t really been sick at all in a long time but I guess we just couldn’t escape this bug all the way. I think everyone in the family has had it at one point or another. Well, besides me so far!!! Knock on wood. I immediately went to the store and stocked up on Vitamin C and Echinacea. I started popping those religiously as well as taking Elderberry syrup. So far, so good. We can’t both be out of commission while we are in the middle of all the renovations. We also were able to go to Marley’s birthday party this year. I am pretty sure that we have only been able to make it to one other birthday party of hers. We are always gone in January. We only stayed for a short time as Jordan wasn’t feeling super well but she was a beautiful fairy princess, loving every minute of her big day. We still can’t believe that little bug is already five years old. It’s insane how fast the time goes. But we are blessed to be aunty and uncle and love watching her grow into her little self.

In the midst of all of that I finally had time to get the bathroom painted. I absolutely love the way it turned out. We went with a tri-toned color scheme with a charcoal, light gray and white. It’s comfortable and classy. The one white wall helps to keep it a little more open feeling! We can’t wait to get everything back in place and get the floor in! I also got to finish up the bedroom which is so cozy with the chocolate-brown that we chose. Also we ended up buying curtains this time instead of custom making them. I still do need to hem most of them because RV windows are not standard size but it will be worth it. We ended up spending a little more than we had planned because we bought Eclipse black out curtains with a thermal layer. We are doing our best to add every bit of insulation! Also we have very different sleeping hours than most and it’s important to have the black out element for us so we can get our full nights rest.
